In attending Denver Share support groups you can expect the following areas of support:
Monthly meetings- we will address monthly topics and anything else parents would like to discuss. Everyone is encouraged to speak as much or as little as they'd like.
Library of grief related resources- from National Share library & PALS resources
Other bereaved parents- we learn so much from one another's healing journeys.
Community events- shared at every meeting, ways to connect in the bereavement community.
Websites- Weebly & Facebook page used for updates, perinatal loss articles, & contacting facilitators.
Local Contacts- If you'd like to meet with a professional one on one, we have a list of local therapists and counselors who we trust and respect.
"Grief will not be denied," she says, "If you refuse to deal with it, you will never find peace. Grief is like an enormous boulder which must be ground into pebbles. There is no schedule. Each day you do what you can to chisel away at it. When you finally get down to the very last pebble, you put it in your pocket and carry it with you always and forever."
