The heart of our mission is to accompany you on your grief journey, principally through our support groups.
We are a support group for parents whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life. Our meetings are designed to help a parent sort through the grief process in a safe environment among others who have experienced similar losses. We provide a strong, supportive atmosphere where members can share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Parents gain a sense of wholeness when they realize that their pain and grief are normal, and common to what nearly all bereaved parents feel. We know we cannot take away your pain but we promise that you are not alone on the journey. A room full of open and understanding hearts awaits you.
Denver Share is a volunteer-only organization.
The facilitators of the monthly support group are: Abby McFerron Abby is the proud momma of Emma Grace McFerron, born still on February 28th, 2013. Amy West Kovacs Amy experienced a first trimester loss followed by the loss of her infant daughter Gianna Rose Kovacs (4/20/15-4/24/15).
Our meetings are led by parents, not by a therapist. If you'd like to meet with a professional one-on-one, we have a list of local therapists and counselors whom we trust and respect.
"Grief will not be denied," she says, "If you refuse to deal with it, you will never find peace. Grief is like an enormous boulder which must be ground into pebbles. There is no schedule. Each day you do what you can to chisel away at it. When you finally get down to the very last pebble, you put it in your pocket and carry it with you always and forever."
